I have always had an interest in our country's history and when I came across a photo of a man I liked in a hunting magazine I just had to draw him. I used my husband and his hunting rifle as a reference to help out with some of the details.
The Mountain Men were a special kind of people that blazed new trails, founded new frontiers, and lived a perioulous rough life amongst God's country. I can only imagine what it was like back then and the challenges they faced.
