The racoon is a nocturnal animal. They are very strong and can be ferocious when provoked. They are excellent climbers and swimmers. They love adventure and are very curious. They are very dexterous, being able to clutch and grasp items. They eat crayfish, mussels, clams, frogs, salamanders, earthworms, fish, sweet corn, fruits, nuts, berries, eggs, small rodents and birds.

In animal lore the racoon represents magic, shapeshifting, transformation, dexterity, secrecy and disquise. The raccoon can teach one, that none of us are quite what we seem. And can help identify and unleash the many roles we play.
